Day 1: Ahmedabad – Sasan Gir Approx. 400 km · 7:30 hrs Night in Sasan Gir
Welcome to India's first World Heritage City. Pick-up from the airport and transfer to Sasan Gir, visiting Junagadh and the Jalaram Temple on the way. Evening Devaliya Gir safari. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2: Sasan Gir – Diu Approx. 100 km · 2:00 hrs Night in Diu
Early morning safari in Sasan Gir National Park. Breakfast, check-out and drive to Diu.
On reaching Diu, visit Naida Caves, Gangeshwar Mahadev Temple and the Diu Museum. Evening sunset at Nagoa Beach. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3: Diu – Somnath Approx. 90 km · 2:00 hrs Night in Somnath
Breakfast and check-out. More Diu sightseeing: Gangeshwar Mahadev Temple and St Paul's Church. After lunch, drive to Somnath.
Somnath sightseeing: Bhalka Tirth, Triveni Ghat and darshan at the Somnath Jyotirlinga. Evening aarti and the light and sound show. Overnight stay in Somnath.

Gangeshwar Mahadev Temple
A Shiva temple on the seashore at Fudam village, 3 km from Diu, uniquely set on the Arabian Sea.
Somnath Jyotirlinga
A temple of Lord Shiva, the Jyotirlinga said to have been built by the Moon God. The evening aarti is followed by a light and sound show.
Bhalka Tirth
This sacred tirth is 5 km away on the Prabhas–Veraval highway. Here the arrow of the hunter Jara struck Lord Krishna, who was resting in meditation under a pipal tree and whose foot Jara mistook for a deer. The leela is remembered by a beautiful temple and an ancient pipal tree. Lord Krishna then walked a short distance to the holy banks of the river Hiran, from where he took his last journey to his Nijdham.
Triveni Ghat
The meeting point of three holy rivers, the Kapil, the Hiran and the mystical Saraswati, which flow on together to the Arabian Sea. The meeting and flowing together of the rivers symbolises human birth, life and death.
Day 4: Somnath – Porbandar – Dwarka Approx. 250 km · 5:00 hrs Night in Dwarka
Early morning aarti darshan at the Somnath Temple, then check out and drive to Dwarka.
On the way, Porbandar: Kirti Mandir, the house and birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, then Sudama Temple and Madhavpur Beach. Continue to Dwarka; dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Bet Dwarka
Also known as Bet Shankhoddhar, Bet Dwarka is only 5 km from Okha by sea, and Okha is 30 km from Dwarka. It is said to be where Lord Krishna lived with his family when they ruled at Dwarka, and where Vishnu slew the demon Shankhasura. Visitors make a point of seeing the Krishna temple here.
Nageshwar Jyotirlinga
The Puranas mention 12 Jyotirlingas, columns of light representing Lord Shiva in different parts of India. This Shiva shrine near Dwarka is one of them and is therefore held in great respect.
Rukmini Temple
The temple of Lord Krishna's wife, Rukmini.
Shivrajpur Beach
A white-sand beach with clear, azure and shallow water near Shivrajpur village, Devbhumi Dwarka district.
Day 6: Dwarka – Jamnagar – Bhuj Approx. 410 km · 8:30 hrs Night in Bhuj

Where does the tour start and end?

Pick-up from Ahmedabad airport; the tour ends with a drop at Ahmedabad railway station or airport. Other pick-up and drop points can be arranged.

Is the Gir safari guaranteed?

Gir safari permits are issued online in limited numbers and the park is closed from 16 June to 15 October. Book early and we will apply for your permits as soon as dates are fixed.
