Rann Utsav is Gujarat's winter festival on the White Rann of Kutch, a salt desert so flat and bright that it seems to meet the sky. For four months a tent city rises at Dhordo, with folk music, Kutchi food, craft markets and some of the best sunsets and moonrises in India.
Rann Utsav 2026-27 dates
The 2026-27 season runs from 1 November 2026 to 7 March 2027. The salt crust is usually at its whitest from December to February, once the monsoon water has dried.
